Infinity Kingdom is a free-to-play, cartoon-style MMO strategy game from YOUZU (Singapore). You rebuild a city in the land of Norheim, train troops, and fight both the gnomes and other players. It runs on iOS, Android and Steam, where it launched on July 1, 2021, and the official site also lists a browser version, the Microsoft Store, Huawei AppGallery and the Samsung Galaxy Store. It has in-app purchases, and it is still being patched: the official site's news lists version 3.0.0 in September 2026.
This guide covers the systems a new account meets first. For a verdict on the game as a whole, see our Infinity Kingdom review.
Your kingdom, your city and your alliance
At the start you pick one of three kingdoms: Ruslan, Ydvia or Vitas. According to GamingonPhone, each gives a small troop bonus: Ruslan adds 5% HP to Cavalry, Ydvia 5% to Spearmen and Vitas 5% to Shieldmen. The choice matters socially too, because alliances are formed inside a kingdom, so you can only join players on your own side.
The city itself follows the usual pattern for the genre. The Castle is the building that gates everything else, the Academy handles research, and the Barracks set the quality of the troops you train. The basic resources are food, wood, stone and iron; mobi.gg's guide singles out stone and iron as the ones that run short.
Two early habits come up in every beginner guide:
- Follow the chapter missions. Level Winner recommends using them as your to-do list, and they are also how you unlock dragons (see below).
- Join an alliance early. Members can help each other's construction and research, which shortens the timers, and alliances have their own technology that members donate to.
Both Level Winner and GamingonPhone also point to the contract builder, a temporary extra construction queue, as worth using early while upgrades are still short.
Troops and the counter triangle
There are four troop types: Shieldmen, Spearmen, Cavalry and Bowmen. The official troop guide gives the counter rules:
- Shieldmen counter Spearmen
- Spearmen counter Cavalry
- Cavalry counter Shieldmen
- Bowmen neither counter anything nor are countered
The same official guide tells you to keep Bowmen in the back row. That fits how a march is built: each one holds four Immortals, two in the front row and two in the back, plus one dragon. Every Immortal leads one troop type, so your choice of Immortals decides which troops you actually field.
Immortals and the Hall of Immortals
Immortals are the game's heroes: more than 50 historical and legendary figures, with Cleopatra, Julius Caesar, Merlin and Robin Hood named on the store page. You summon them in the Hall of Immortals, and the premium summoning currency is the Philosopher's Stone.
Rarities run Uncommon, Rare, Elite and Legendary. What the guides say about summoning:
- Save for the bundle. Ten advanced summons cost nine Philosopher's Stones, so both GamingonPhone and mobi.gg advise holding stones until you have nine rather than spending them one at a time.
- Your first advanced summon guarantees an Elite Immortal, according to GamingonPhone.
- Do not spread upgrades thin. Level Winner advises being selective about which Immortals you raise in star grade, since the materials are limited.
Outside the city, the Well of Time is the PvE campaign: a sequence of chapters and stages with a star rating for each clear. GamingonPhone puts its unlock at Castle level 5. It is one of the places an early team gets tested without risking anything against other players.
Elements and dragons
Every Immortal and every dragon belongs to one of seven elements. Five form a loop:
- Water beats Fire
- Fire beats Wind
- Wind beats Lightning
- Lightning beats Earth
- Earth beats Water
Shadow beats all five, and Holy beats Shadow.
The reason to care is the same-element bonus. Counting the Immortals and the dragon in one march:
- 3 of the same element: +20% physical and magical defense for Immortals
- 4 of the same element: +20% physical and magical attack
- 5 of the same element: +10% troop HP
The bonuses stack, so a full mono-element march gets all three. One caveat from a player guide on the official forum: its author tested a mixed march against a full Water march and found the real results closer than the power numbers suggested. Treat the bonus as a strong default rather than a rule.
Dragons live in the Dragon Cave. You receive an egg, hatch it and raise it. There are seven, one per element, and the five basic ones come from story chapters:
- Glyndwr (Water), the first dragon, from chapter 4 according to GamingonPhone
- Demeter (Earth), chapter 7
- Taranis (Lightning), chapter 10
- Zephyr (Wind), chapter 13
- Ignatius (Fire), chapter 15
The other two are Lucasta (Holy) and Melanthios (Shadow). A post by the game's press officer on the official forum describes Melanthios as coming from a paid chest at VIP 15; GamingonPhone says Lucasta sits behind the same VIP level, which we could not confirm elsewhere. Neither is a realistic early target for a free account.
This is why guides steer new players toward Water. You get the Water dragon first, and mobi.gg notes it is the element where a new account usually has the most Immortals, so it recommends four Water Immortals plus Glyndwr. A TapTap lineup guide calls Water the best value early and Earth the stronger team later. Water Immortals named in both that guide and Pillar of Gaming's include Lancelot, Brynhild, Helen of Troy, Tomoe Gozen and Merlin.
Where to start
Pick a kingdom, follow the chapter missions, and join an alliance in your kingdom as soon as you can. Build your first march around Water Immortals and Glyndwr to reach the element bonuses, keep Bowmen in the back row, and save Philosopher's Stones for the nine-stone bundle. Once your first team is set, check our tier lists for who is worth the upgrade materials and our codes page for free resources.
About this guide: it is compiled from official material and established community guides, not from first-hand playtime. Sources: the official Steam and App Store pages and the official site (genre, platforms, release, Immortals, dragons), the official troop guide and two posts on the official GTarcade forum, plus the GamingonPhone, Level Winner, mobi.gg, Pillar of Gaming, TapTap, Echoes of Apollo and WWGDB guides for systems and advice. Several of those guides date from 2021 and 2022, so details may have changed with later patches.
